Enter and pay bills—how it works

Enter and Pay Bills are available as a Plus feature.

QuickBooks Online streamlines the bill paying process so you can concentrate on what you do best — running your business.

Pay Now, or Later

With this feature, you can enter bills and make payments separately, as a two-step process. QuickBooks Online keeps track of what you owe and when payments are due. This lets you keep money in your business as long as possible and avoid late charges.

In addition, this feature lets you:

• Run reports to see outstanding bills and their due dates
• View each vendor's bills and payments in the vendor's register
• View all vendors' transactions in the Accounts Payable register

Track Instant Purchases

Even with this feature in place, you can still track purchases you pay for immediately. Just use the Write Checks, Enter Credit Card Charges, or Spend Cash screens on the Banking menu to enter the purchase in a single step.
